Story Time at Barefoot Books in Concord, Mass

This week when my Mom was in town we took Emma up to Barefoot Books in Concord for Story Time.  As you can see... she was having a great time.

She listened and watched so intently.

Don't you love her strawberry romper?!

Squealing with excitement!

Such an exciting story!

She (obviously) had a great time!

When we got home...

We came home with a couple of books - I love the Barefoot Books.

The ones we purchased are all 'sewed' illustrations that are photographed.

So, the pictures in the book look like they are stitched and pieced together.

Here are some of our favorite stories.

They are such beautiful books- I appreciate being able to enjoy such beautiful pictures when we read.

Are there any other favorite books out there Emma needs?!

  1. Oh Emma is absolutely gorgeous - and what a happy, smiley baby she is too! In England, we all read 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' as toddlers - and in turn our own children have grown up loving it as well!
Gorgeous images, she's a delightful child - you must be so proud!

  2. Anything Sandra Boynton, and anything by Eric Carle Brown Bear was our favorite. Counting Kisses was another favorite, can't remember who wrote that one.

  4. Gerda Muller's series of seasonal books - Spring, Summer, Autumn & Winter. No text but the books are beautifully illustrated.

My favorites from Barefoot Books for little ones - Over in the Meadow, Listen Listen, I Took the Moon for A Walk.
