After a year of building and a lifetime of dreaming up the perfect kitchen, Jill's (my sister) kitchen (and house) is done! Last week we ventured to St. Louis for my niece's birthday party and to stay at the new house. Let me tell you, this kitchen is stunning - really the centerpiece of the entire home. She incorporated all of my favorite finishes - cream painted cabinetry, dark walnut (huge) center island with marble counter top, vaulted coffered ceiling, polished silver hardware and glass front cabinetry. I am so in love - and majorly jealous.
Isn't the hood fabulous? I also love the runner - ballard designs. I'm going to pick on up for my own kitchen.
Coffered ceiling - beautiful. Never underestimate the power of a ceiling. Room changing.

Wow, what a gorgeous kitchen! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWow, so pretty! Love the white and dark oak! And that ceiling is just so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAbosultely beautiful! I loved every sqaure inch of that kitchen. I am envisioning myself in it...jealous.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the little office nook and the black art prints hanging horizontally. You're making me jealous too. :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! What are the countertops made of? It looks like carerra marble, but a little more matte.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous -- totally my dream kitchen.
ReplyDeleteSame here, simple and elegant.
DeleteI've just discovered your blog and can't wait to get my daughter to bed for her nap so I can have a good long look through all your posts and take it all in. It looks like my perfect blog.
ReplyDeleteCan I ask you, do you still love your marble? I'm considering it but so many people say that it etches and it makes the kitchen look dingy after a few years. I would have to disagree with these people but I don't have marble counters! Can you please let me know what you think and if you'd do it again? Thank you! Natasha
ReplyDeleteoops sorry I just re-read and realize that the counters are your sisters. Can you please ask her or report back! haha thank you! Natasha
ReplyDeleteNatasha - I think she still loves it - I think you get used to the little bit of wear.
ReplyDeleteWhat color paint did she use? Lovely.

Hi, I know this is an older post and is your sisters place, but would you be so kind as to ask her where she got her cabinets? Specifically I would love to replicate the office/wine area in my house, and I am head over heels for her design!
